The Special Retractor Tool remains on the MM15,MM50 or FMM50 series retractable system, during the insertion and removal only. One tool can service many Accurate Retractable Systems. Easily operated by one person. The Special Retractor Tool is used to retrieve or insert the insertion rod or shaft into a pressurized system. It Screws on the 3/4" NPT threads on top of the MM15,MM50, or FMM50 series retractable system. The insertion rod or shaft is then attached to the Special Retractor Tool drawplate. He handle is turned which moves the drawplate either up or down. Designed to make insertion and removale under pressure safe, easy, and quick. The operator works at the side of the retractor tool and does not have to balance himself in a precarious positions. Since the Special Retractor Tool directly attaches to the MM15,MM50, and FMM50 series retractable systems, no heavy service valve is required. The Special Retractor Tool is non telescoping which means its overall length for a 36" insertion rod is 36”. Other makes of retrieval tools require up to 94" for an insertion rod length of 36". It also weights less than 20 pounds. Other makes of retrieval tools for 36" insertion lenghts weight over 100 pounds including the service valve. The Special Retractor Tool works in any position, vertical, horizontal or upside down. Since it works well upside down, insertion throught bottom of pipelines and vessels is easily done.
